iXCells Biotechnologies provides high quality Human Carotid Artery Endothelial Cells (HCtAEC), which are isolated from human carotid atery and cryopreserved at P2, with >0.5 million cells in each vial. HCtAEC can be used in assays of cell to cell adhesion, migration, and vascular tube formation. Standard biochemical procedures performed with endothelial cell cultures include RT-PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent staining, immunofluorescent flow cytometry, and generating cell derivatives for desired research applications. HCtAEC display typical cobblestone with large dark nuclei appearance under light microscopy and express CD31 or VE-Cadherin through immunofluorescence staining or FACS. HCtAEC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi and can further expand for 10 population doublings in Endothelial Cell Growth Medium (Cat# MD-0010) under the condition suggested by iXCells Biotechnologies.
