Product Description
Rat Marrow Stromal Cells (RMSC) have the potential to maintain multipotency and proliferate extensively in vitro. Bone marrow is the major blood creating organ, but in addition to supporting hematopoietic growth and differentiation, marrow stromal cells can be induced to produce cells of other connective tissues, such as bone, cartilage, and fat, as well as cells from neuroectodermal (neurons) and endodermal (hepatocytes) lineages.
iXCells Biotechnologies provides high quality Rat Marrow Stromal Cells (RMSC), which are isolated from rat bone marrow and cryopreserved at P2, with >0.5 million cells in each vial. RMSC are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi and can further expand for 10 population doublings in Rat Marrow Stromal Cell Growth Medium (Cat# MD-0066) under the condition suggested by iXCells Biotechnologies.
