Product Description

iXCells Biotechnologies provides high quality Human subclavian artery smooth muscle cells (HSASMC), which are isolated from normal human subclavian artery and cryopreserved at P1, with >0.5 million cells in each vial. HSASMC provide a useful in vitro system to study all aspects of cardiovascular function and disease, especially those related to mechanisms of hyperplasia and hypertrophy of intimal smooth muscle cells leading to vascular occlusion. HSASMC express α-smooth muscle actin and desmin and are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fung. HSASMC can further expand for 13 population doublings in Smooth Muscle Cell Growth Medium (Cat # MD-0034) under the condition suggested by iXCells Biotechnologies.
