iXCells Biotechnologies provides high quality Rat Osteoblasts (ROb), which are isolated from rat bone and cryopreserved at P1, with >0.5 million cells in each vial. ROb provide a model system to study matrix mineralization, effects of inflammatory mediators and bone morphogenic proteins, physiological control of bone remodeling and regulation of bone metabolism. ROb are positive for bone mineralization and are negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. They can further expand for 8 population doublings in Rat Osteoblast Growth Medium (Cat# MD-0067) under the condition suggested by iXCells Biotechnologies.
